Neurodivergence Visibility in BIPOC Children
Project type
Textiles, portrait
Date
December 2024
A quilt of over 300 individually stuffed puffs, made to represent the autism spectrum and neurodiversity as a whole. The back of the quilt's array of random fabrics represents how autistic people blend into their community through masking. There is a young mixed-race girl in the middle of the front of the quilt, barely visible to the audience, smiling at finally being seen.
